Poseidon

Homeric Hymn To Poseidon (7 lines).

(1-5) I begin to sing about Poseidon, the great god, mover of
the earth and fruitless sea, god of the deep who is also lord of
Helicon and wide Aegae. A two-fold office the gods allotted you,
O Shaker of the Earth, to be a tamer of horses and a saviour of
ships!

(6-7) Hail, Poseidon, Holder of the Earth, dark-haired lord!
O blessed one, be kindly in heart and help those who voyage in
ships!

Dear Father Poseidon,

You are father of the sea and all it's elements
loved and cherish by all..
My being flows with your tides,
entering and exiting by the moon
influenced by it's powers.

I see you as the dolphin and you speak to me in that tongue
Why is that never that I can remember have I talked to you any other way?
You my silent yet most powerful father
Am glad to have returned home to you.. keeper of the key.

Praised Be Poseidon
By: Jennifer H. Wright

Praise to Poseidon
Lord ruler of the Seas
He who hath bestowed his healing blessing upon me
Released from me the negative energy
which hath cursed me.

Praised be Poseidon my father
whom raised me from despair
and released me from my earthly cares.

Praised be Poseidon
Whom chases away my demons
Strengthening my weak mortal side
Guiding me by the moon and following the tide.

Orphic Hymn to Poseidon

King of the poignant sea,
your powerful arms
belt the world,
we honor you.

You are indigo calm
deep
beneath stormy sea.

The tides obey
your bronze trident.
From your black curls
slide great waves.

Your sea horses
gallop in tidal waves
and trickling foam.

You are the dolphin,
and the palm tree.
You are the healthy
salt air of the sea.

Your thunder voice
enrages the deep as you
ride the boiling ocean
waves crashing at your command.

You are the black bull
drowning in the river.
You gave us horses.

Night haired Earth shaker,
survey Ocean's play
with a contented smile.

Split open rocks
and reveal fresh water
fountains and springs.

Make firm our roots in Earth.
Send prosperous winds.
Give us peace and health.
Pour blessings in shining waves.
